What I will be working on this week (Sept. 19, 2010)

The next six weeks will pretty much be the busiest before our planned move to Los Angeles this December, and this upcoming seven-day period will keep me glued to the computer most of the time. Well, that or the big screen of course. After all, I plan on seeing about six to seven films next week (usual press screenings included).

I'm currently editing my buddy Deepa's thesis project, a short romance that needs to be completed for Oct. 3, 2010. This week I'll make the time to work on getting together a fine cut, and that will leave me some time to lock in the final edit and work on sound design and color correction. It's an ambitious time frame for sure.

Thursday this week is a big day for me an my wife Emily. We have our interview at immigration, which is obviously very exciting and most definitely this week's highlight. Right after that's done I'm heading out to help Deepa shoot some additional shots we need to finish the cut for his flick, making Thursday the busy day of the week.

I'm trying to make some time here and there to write on my feature film script a bit, but realistically, I won't really get a shot at really focusing on that project until November. Once things move faster on that I will obviously document all of it right here.

Needles to say, it always feels good to be busy, but I am looking forward to a calmer November, even though I will have to spend a lot of time then looking for a job and getting ready to move. Emily and I will head down to L.A. at the end of November to lock down a place, so more info on that is forthcoming. All right, back to work now...
