WELCOME TO FRANCKTABOURING.COM

This is the personal Web site and blog of Franck Tabouring, a 25-year-old international film student attending the San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking in San Francisco, CA. Franck also holds a bachelor's of science in journalism and electronic media from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN.

Franck is originally from Luxembourg, Europe, and he moved to the United States in 2006 to kick off his undergraduate studies at UT. Franck's biggest passion is film, which is why he spends most of every day updating his movie Web site at The Screening Log.

Before coming to the U.S., Franck worked as a freelance movie reporter for RTL Television and Radio, where he had the incredible opportunity to help manage a weekly cinema program, cover film reviews and interview filmmakers shooting in Luxembourg. Interviewees included Michael Radford, Lambert Wilson and Stephanie Leonidas.

In May 2006, Franck attended the Cannes Film Festival as part of the programming team of the former Cinenygma International Film Festival. He also used to manage his own movie Web site in Luxembourg.

Shorty after starting his program at UT, Franck started to post his movie reviews on the School of Journalism's news Web site TNJN. He also used to write DVD reviews for Cinema Blend. Currently, besides managing the Screening Log, Franck contributes plenty of DVD reviews to DVD Verdict. Some of his film articles are also featured on the Alternative Film Guide.

Currently, Franck is residing in San Francisco, where he is attending the San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking for a one-year intensive program. Franck hopes to one day be able to combine journalism and his passion for film and work in the film industry.
