Franck's roles as lead editor included editing major projects and supervising the post-production department. In 2014, Franck left Filmtwist to launch Open Valve Studios, his own film/video production business in Los Angeles.

Franck was born and raised in Luxembourg, Europe, and he permanently moved to the United States in 2006. His biggest passion is the world of film, which is why he's lucky enough to work in this creative, stimulating industry. He also worked as a film critic, running his own site and contributing to several popular blogs.

Reviewing films online has provided Franck with many opportunities to chat with professionals in the film industry. Interviewees include Lynn Shelton, Edgar Wright, George A. Romero, Channing Tatum, Idris Elba, Amanda Seyfried, Milla Jovovich, Edward Norton, Ryan Reynolds, Scott Hicks, Danny Boyle and Guillermo Arriaga, among others.

Before coming to the U.S., Franck also worked as a freelance movie reporter for Luxembourg's RTL Television and Radio, where he had the incredible opportunity to help manage a weekly cinema program and cover film reviews for both TV and radio.

In May 2006, Franck attended the Cannes Film Festival as part of the programming team of the former Cinenygma International Film Festival, for which he worked as a technical manager and program assistant for several years. He also used to manage his own movie website in Luxembourg.

Shorty after starting his program at UT, Franck started to post his movie reviews on the School of Journalism's news website, TNJN. He also used to write DVD reviews for Cinema Blend. Besides managing his film blog The Screening Log for numerous years, Franck contributed plenty of DVD reviews to DVD Verdict. Some of his film articles were also featured on the Alternative Film Guide.

In 2011, Franck completed a short film titled "Blend," and he recently finished his follow-up, "Another Day." Franck also has several other fiction projects currently in development, and he continues to hone his skills by shooting and directing music videos, commercial projects, high-end events and short films.
